Women's Gear FAQs
How many layers of clothing do you wear while running doing the winter season?
It all depends on how cold the temperature is outside. If it is 40 degrees or above outside one layer of clothing is usually sufficient. Two layers of clothing is appropriate for temperatures below 40. Any temperature reaching freezing or below can require three layers to keep the body temperature healthy. Always be sure that the first layer against the skin is made out of breathable or wicking fabrics to keep moisture away from the skin.
How do you find the right size snowboard?
The right length and width of the snowboard depends on your own height, weight and shoe size. A rule of thumb is to select a board that stands up somewhere between your chin and nose. Anything longer is too long. The width of the board should be wide enough that your heels or toes are not hanging off either side of the board.
Do sports bras prevent breasts from sagging?
There are debates surrounding this question, however, there is no actual proof that bras in general help to prevent breasts from sagging. Breasts are made of ligaments and connective tissue which inevitably loose elasticity over time whether you wear a bra or not. What sports bras are good for is to keep breasts from moving too much which can create pain as well as excessive attention.
What is the best type of bike saddle for a woman?
Women have wider, shallower pelvises than men so bike saddles with shorter noses and wider rear sections are typically the best choice. Some saddles even have features such as gel inserts or holes through the top to lessen pressure on tender body parts.
