Women's Snow Gear

Women’s snow gear is modified to maximize performance, comfort and control.
Skis, snowboards and boots all have women-specific designs. Women's skis are shorter, lighter in weight and have a softer flex than men's skis. Bindings on women's skis are generally positioned farther forward on the ski to increase stability and making them easier to control.

Women’s snowboards typically have narrower waist widths to fit the average female foot since most women have more narrow feet than men. Women’s boards also cater to a woman’s weight and lower center of gravity which is why they are shorter and have softer flexing. All these factors make it easier to and quicker to carve in the snow, and give the female rider overall better control.

Women’s snow gear also includes items such as gloves, hats, thermal under clothing, and boots. Picking out proper snow sport boots is essential for pain free skiing and snowboarding. Women’s feet are usually narrower through the arch and thinner through the ankle and heel than men’s feet. Women's ski and snowboard boots are engineered to fit women’s feet, ankles and calves comfortably.
